Raycap Presents New Products for 5G Infrastructure at the MWC in Barcelona

New product portfolio for Broadband services includes FTTH street cabinets and concealment solutions for LTE/5G small cell networks.

Garching/Munich, 25, February 2019 – At the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona Spain Feb. 25-28, Raycap will present numerous products in Hall 6 (Stand 6K20) for the infrastructure of broadband services networks. These solutions include:

  • Fiber Optic cabinets for the “Fibre to the Home” (FTTH) market
  • Multifunctional cabinets (MFG) for VDSL applications
  • Street furniture and concealment designs for 4G/5G small cell networks, along with the company’s complete FTTA/PTTA product solutions

The presented cabinets are demarcation points for the fiber optic and DSL copper networks. They have a modular design that allow network expansions, are extremely resistant to weather conditions, can efficiently manage the thermal loads and feature enhanced security as critical circuits interconnect through them. Our cabinets are made of metal, an environmental friendly material, and can be easily integrated in the urban environment with the application of appropriate decorative films.

Raycap’s concealment solutions include street furniture and lighting poles to accommodate all active equipment, antennas and cabling for the next generation small cell networks. The engineering of these products address anti-vandalism aspects, proper ventilation and RF transparency to minimize propagation losses. As densification is an important factor for network quality, Raycap products feature aesthetics that harmonize with the environment, satisfying the municipality requirements. “People rightly expect excellent mobile phone coverage and service. On the other hand, the network infrastructure should be invisible,” explains Volker Lange, Vice President Telecom EMEA. “To tackle this challenge, Raycap acquired STEALTH Concealment Solutions in June 2018. We can now develop tailor-made solutions that are aesthetically pleasing and RF friendly to 5G mmWave frequency bands. This enables network operators to deploy a dense network that will conform to municipality permit requirements.”

Our vision is to provide combined solutions that will satisfy not only telecom needs but will cater to additional services. Raycap has designed pioneering solutions for smart cities that include a 4G/5G small cell telecom site in combination with a car charging station, an interactive information panel and an emergency phone. The company, with decades of experience, is considered a premium-trusted vendor for Tier 1, 2 and 3 operators in the United States and in numerous European countries, including Germany. “Our telecommunications division has achieved a great deal of success, worldwide. We are entirely focused on our customer requirements and targeted in fully satisfying their needs for next generation networks.” explains Apostolis Sotiriou, Assistant Vice President of Telecom Sales.
