Raycap acquires New Jersey based Apelio Innovative Industries, LLC.

Raycap has acquired Apelio Innovative Industries LLC, a manufacturer of telecommunication network accessories and electrical switchgear, bolstering its engineering and manufacturing capabilities in the United States and expanding its product offering for the small cell 5G telecom market. The deployments of 5G wireless service and smart city initiatives are inextricably linked. Both require new infrastructure at the street level to support services that benefit cities, businesses and citizens. A new generation of integrated small-cell poles will fit into the cityscape by replacing existing lighting poles. Populated with electronic systems behind concealment enclosures, integrated small-cell poles can balance the requirements of 5G small cell installations with aesthetic and safety concerns.

 


Raycap to exhibit at NATE 2020

Raycap will be exhibiting its integrated concealed poles, a premiere solution for the concealment of small cell sites, at the 2020 National Association of Tower Erectors Show in Raleigh North Carolina Feb. 17-20.  NATE  is a non-profit trade association in the wireless and broadcast infrastructure industries providing a unified voice for tower erection, maintenance and service companies.  The Annual Conference includes educational sessions and an exposition that provides attendees with the opportunity to view and discuss the latest innovations in products and services.


Raycap | STEALTH Announces InvisiWave, its Engineered Solution for 5G mmWave Concealment

The new concealment material provides the industry a path forward to conceal 5G mmWave small cell applications.

Charleston/South Carolina USA, April 22, 2019 Raycap | STEALTH has announced its new patent-pending solution, InvisiWaveTM for use in the concealment of 5G mmWave small cell sites. With the new solution, the concealment of 5G sites can be achieved. Prior to its release the industry had struggled to achieve a mmWave solution which could hide the radios / antennas without affecting performance.

Fabricated from a heavy-duty, RF friendly material, Raycap’s STEALTH InvisiWave products are capable of covering and hiding mmWave radios attached to street light poles, on rooftops or other structures, without interfering in radio performance. The material has been thoroughly tested to identify beamforming impact, from sub 6GHz frequencies up to 52GHz bands making it backward compatible as well as future proof, and has been approved for use on 5G networks by major U.S. operators. It is available for both STEALTH radomes (pole toppers, pole shrouds) and panel solutions (rooftop, screen walls, chimney concealments) for new site builds and retrofit projects.

Universally applicable in 5G environments

For the next generation of wireless deployments, small cell sites featuring 5G mmWave radios (28 GHz + 39 GHz) are going to be more widely installed for network densification purposes. When placed in a community’s right-of-way, full or partial concealment solutions may be necessary to hide the radios within a pole or other structure. Raycap’s STEALTH concealments using InvisiWave will help with city approvals and can speed up the deployment process.

ProTec T1S Pluggable reduced size surge protection device

Raycap presents new products for the electrical protection of sensitive devices, including the latest innovation in surge protection, the ProTec T1S series. With 25kA 10 / 350us packed in a 1 TE (17.5 mm) DIN housing, it is one of the narrowest surge protection devices (SPDs) on the market that meets the requirements of test class I according to IEC 61643-11. Raycap’s Phase GDT (PGDT) technology is used in the ProTec T1S series, which enables a compact voltage-switching SPD, but without the typical disadvantages of a high residual voltage or low follow-current erasability.
