Raycap presents surge protection solutions for the whole building

Garching, 07.03.2023 – Raycap, an international manufacturer of electronic components for surge protection, connectivity, and monitoring, will present its portfolio at eltefa 2023. In hall 6 at booth C40, the latest industrial surge protection solutions for 40 mm busbars, photovoltaics, smart homes as well as buildings can be seen.

From 28 to 30 March 2023, experts from trade, industry, commerce, planning, and architecture will meet in Stuttgart at eltefa. In hall 6 at booth C40, visitors will learn everything about Raycap’s extensive surge protection portfolio.

Surge protection for buildings and PV systems

At eltefa, Raycap will be showing, among other things, its latest line for the 40 mm busbar: a surge protector that protects the house installation against lightning and overvoltages and supplies the smart meter gateway with a fused circuit. A feeder terminal for feeding the main line prevents installation errors and saves installation time. All products are easy to snap onto the busbar. With their compact design, these new plug&play components for the 40-millimeter busbar in the pre-metering area from Raycap can fit into any main distribution board and still meet all the requirements of the new DIN VDE-AR-N 0100-4100. For larger electrical installations, Raycap’s ProAcc ZP-FH plug&play device with a fuse holder and integrated fuse provides standard-compliant additional power connections for the additional smart meter gateway.

In addition, Raycap presents its proven protection for KNX bus systems, which is plugged directly into the slot of the KNX bus coupler due to its compact design. If required, the protection element can also be placed in a device box and thus provides reliable surge protection for the smart home infrastructure without much effort.

Raycap will also show the latest product from its innovative portfolio, the ProTec T2 BLD, a solution designed to protect the automated blind mechanisms inside buildings. Complementing the proven Raydat KNX surge protection component for protecting sensors, the ProTec T2 BLD protects motors from damage caused by power surges in both directions: raising and lowering. The component is installed between the switch and the motor of the shutters and, with its compact format, can easily be installed in existing blinds. With the help of its STAK 3 connectors, the ProTec T2 BLD can be quickly installed and replaced via plug & play.

Visitors to the booth can also learn about Raycap’s protection solutions for PV inverters and energy storage systems. With various connection options, the ready-to-connect ProTec PV boxes are a space-saving solution to protect PV systems against lightning and surge damage reliably. In addition, Raycap will show the type 1 arrester ProTec T1SF with integrated backup fuse and other 2-in-1 surge protection devices for reduced space requirements in the control cabinet.
