Raycap Presents Surge Protection for PV Systems and Charging Stations

Garching, 19. September 2023 – From October 17 through 19, eMove360° Europe, the world’s most important B2B trade fair for electric mobility and autonomous driving, will occur in Munich. Raycap, an international manufacturer and technology leader with decades of experience providing innovative infrastructure solutions for customers in the telecom, energy, defense, transportation, and other industrial markets, will present its innovations for protecting e-charging infrastructure from surge damage in hall A6, booth 501.

In publicly accessible charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, surge protection is mandatory to protect people and connected vehicles from damage during a surge event. However, surge protection is also necessary in the private sector to protect the investment, damage to the vehicle, or personal injury, for example, for wall box chargers.

However, a single surge protection solution cannot cover a complete charging scenario. That’s why Raycap, an expert in protecting sensitive infrastructure, has developed a comprehensive product portfolio for AC or DC, small charging stations in the private and public sectors, and fast charging stations.

Introducing ProBloc EV T2 V: Raycap’s Breakthrough Surge Protection for EV Charging Stations

Raycap will show its new product for the EV market at eMove360° Europe 2023, the new ProBloc EV T2 V. With its compact design at a width of 35 mm, the Type 2+3 surge protection component is designed to fit even in small AC charging stations or wall boxes. The new product offers high protection to private charging stations that might not otherwise be adequately protected from surge damage by the house or building connection. The ProBloc EV T2 V is quick and easy to install and reliably protects charging stations and the EVs connected to them from surge damage. The new component offers a short-circuit current resistance of 10 kA and enables V-wiring for in-line installation. With its visual status indicator and optional remote contact, users can always monitor their component’s status.

In addition, Raycap will showcase other proven solutions to protect charging infrastructure applications, energy storage systems, and Photovoltaic (PV) installations.
